MANAGEMENT GAMES

Management games is organised on 27th June 2014 in 5th lecture for the students by the co- 0rdinators of Management club jointly in classrooms. This event is organised to test the managerial skills like creativity, time management, leadership qualities, etc in students. There
were 55 participants in total from all the classes. There were two elimination rounds and one final round was organised. Team of 5 members were invited from each class for the event.
The elimination round of the event was as follows:
Round 1:
Take all the team leaders out of the classrooms, and explain them the activity by demonstrating them yourself “How to make paper boats” the ones we learned in our school. Having demonstrated ask them if they have understood the same. Give them one small square piece of paper and ask them to make one so that you are assured that they have understood how to make paper boats Now Instructions for Team Leaders:
* You are given 4 sheets (4 pages of News Paper – they are rectangular in shape).
* Your job is to build 40 boats all of the “Same Size” & “All must stand or should not sink flat when the activity is over”.* Quality (shape, finishing, appearance) and Quantity 40 boats both is important.
* Time frame is 5 minutes max
Round 2:
In this round the three selected teams from round 1 were given a plane white paper. On which they have to make new currency note for our country applying their creativity and innovation keeping various factors of making currency and RBI rules into consideration. Time limit given to each team was 10 minutes.
Round 3:
This round was point of attraction for the semi- finalist teams and was named as treasure hunt. They were given clues at different points to reach the destination of treasure hunt. All the rounds and their rules were surprise for the students. The only announcements done to them in common were number of team members in a team, date & time of event. All the students participated in full enthusiasm and the event completed successfully with good response from students.
